USA – Internet Essentials Helps 3M Americans Cross the Digital Divide

Internet Essentials is a program from Comcast Corporation to bring free Internet to families with special needs in the United States.

Since 2011, they have connected more than 600,000 families—over 2.4 million low-income Americans—to the power of the Internet in their homes. They’ve built a network of over 1,500 volunteers and over 9,000 non-profit and educator partners to help spread the word about Internet Essentials.  Also they’ve provided more than $280 million of support for digital literacy training, benefitting over 4.4 million people.
